Sermon: The Anatomy of Praise
Scripture: Hebrews 13:15-16

Through Him then, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that give thanks to His name.

Introduction: What is praise? 


Praise is a Proclamation

Shouts of joy and victory resound in the tents of the righteous.
Psalm 118:15

Praise is Public

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord.
Psalm 150:6

Praise is Physical

Life up your hands in the sanctuary and praise the Lord
Psalm 134:2

Let them praise his name with dancing.
Psalm 149:3

Praise is Proactive

'I will extol the Lord at all times; his praise will always be on my lips. '
-Psalms 34:1

Praise is Pre-rejoicing

About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them.

Conclusion: Praise is the response of a thankful heart.
